Good Success PSA: YOU MUST REAPPLY NOW for Your Small-Business Disaster Loan

Attention real estate investors and small-business owners! If you applied for an SBA economic injury disaster loan (EIDL) last week using the SBA online portal, snail mail, fax, or email, then you must reapply using this website: covid19relief.sba.gov.

After the SBA discovered its original portal had left applicants’ personal information exposed online, it shut down the original website and instructed applicants to download PDFS and fill them out, then send those hard copies to an SBA email account, fax them, or send them via the postal service.

If you did this, you must reapply.

If you worked with a banker or lending platform to apply, make sure that your application has been resubmitted.

According to SBA spokesman Matt Coleman, applicants must reapply using the new portal, then wait for requests for further information about their business. If you fail to do this, you will not be eligible for the $10,000 advance the SBA is offering to applicants that is not contingent on the applicant ultimately being approved.
